Secure your journey through travel insurance


Travel insurance refers to a cover that ensures the safety of the travelers while travelling abroad. Though it is not compulsory to get travel insurance but there are some areas, where it is obligatory to get a travel insurance cover such as Schengen area of Europe. Any person belonging to a non Schengen country needs to possess a valid Schengen visa. Schengen visa is granted as per the provisions of Schengen agreement. Schengen visa has made the travel to Schengen area much convenient. Holder of this visa can travel to one or all the Schengen states with the same single visa.

In order to get an approved Schengen visa, a person needs to get Europe travel insurance, also known as Schengen visa insurance. It is a health insurance covering the medical expenses which may have to be incurred, medical evacuation and medical repatriation in case of death. The insurance coverage must at least be of 30,000 Euros.

The insurance company must have a registered office at one of the Schengen state. The travel insurance Europe must be valid in all the Schengen member states and for the full duration of stay. Thus, without Schengen visa insurance, a person cannot travel to Schengen zone.
